I have a big sister and together we make sense. She looks at me and understands what is going on beneath the surface, the simplest facial flicker and she’ll be at my side keeping me safe. She holds me tight when I’m scared and makes sure the world cannot touch me. We feel what the other feels. It’s like we’re connected, doing life together. She holds my hand as I face challenges and drags me boldly into hard times. She’s there the times I want to break down and give up, she envelops me when I can’t face this life and lets me cry. She dances and rejoices with me in my triumphs and we share each others happiness. She looks upon me with pride and love. I know with her that I will always have forgiveness and grace. Nothing is to big for me with her by my side. My big sister doesn’t take my burdens but helps me hand them to God. My big sister is my puzzle piece, we fit together, two different shapes to form one flawless masterpiece. She’s the greatest friend and sister I could ask for.
